About This Simple Mom
My name is Annette. Once upon a time I was an elementary school teacher. Now I am a stay-at-home-mom who has been blogging for three years. It all began when I wanted to share more of our daily lives with our families who live several hours from us. At that point I had a two year old who was beginning the long process of overcoming her speech disorder, apraxia, and a newborn son. Ordinary, daily things were exciting to me. (Now my children are 5 years, 3 years, and 3 months old!)
Eventually I found that I wanted to share more than just what was happening with the children, so I created Live, Learn, Love. There I shared my love of books, recipes, homemaking, children's crafts, and my own crafts.
Homemaking doesn't come naturally to many of us, and if you are like me, even what you do know, you may not be so good at implementing. I am mostly "self-taught." Because of that, I love to share ideas that keep life at home simple. I will continue to share those same things here at This Simple Home, but with a new name! What works for me may not always work for you, but I look forward to the conversations we might have!
