Hot Chocolate (Fudge) Sauce Recipe

My mother-in-law makes a lot of great treats. You might remember she introduced me to several of our favorite recipes. This past month, my husband asked me if I could make her hot chocolate sauce which we enjoy on occasion. I emailed her for the recipe...and made my husband happy. Again.
The day I made this I didn't want to wait to have ice cream. I put a bit of the warm chocolate sauce on a graham cracker and was thrilled with the results. (That works for an instant treat, but try this recipe if you want to store chocolate-covered graham crackers for later. The chocolate sauce is rich and delicious.  Give it a try!

My mother-in-law doesn't call this hot fudge sauce, so I don't either. However, it's rich and chocolatey...call it what you wish.

What's your favorite ice cream flavor?  We enjoy both this hot chocolate sauce and peanut butter sauce. Both can be used on ice cream or other foods.
