1 Samuel 16:7 Free Printable

My friend had a print quoting 1 Samuel 16:7 in her bathroom.  I thought it was perfectly appropriate for a bathroom, and our powder room's walls were blank.  It states, "Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart."  (ESV)  I couldn't find a free printable of 1 Samuel 16:7, so I made one myself.  It's my first real try at design, though I've made free printables before for our family (and you, dear readers).  Take a look at this 1 Samuel 16:7 Printable.

My seven year old daughter is beautiful.  I'm not sure she understands that, but she does understand that appearance is important to others.  We are trying to teach her that inner beauty (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control come to mind) is much more important than physical beauty, because God cares about the condition of each person's heart.  Now 1 Samuel 16:7 hangs in our bathroom as a gentle reminder.

I had it the 1 Samuel 16:7 verse printed at Walmart as an 8x10 in the matte finish.  Here it is framed.  It is not the first time something printed appeared darker than the digital copy, but I still like it.  (Walgreens and CVS both provide only glossy finish for in-store printing in our town, so I opted for Walmart.)

If you have trouble with downloading the 1 Samuel 16:7 printable, please let me know through a comment or email.  You will download it through Google Drive.  I have only used it for PDFs before this, but when I tested it, it seemed to work just fine.

Do you have a favorite verse you would like to hang on your walls?  I had so much fun making this; I'm considering making a verse printable for each of my children's bedrooms and maybe the verses that we chose during our wedding vows, for our bedroom.  (I will need to research that.  I can't remember.)

  1. That's a cool idea. I don't really have any verses put up, but I love playing around with different verses, as you've probably seen from some of my more recent Bible posts.

    1. Occasionally, I have one written down for us to learn, but not as often as I should. This one will be learned by all!
