Paper Christmas Trees

Just as you can create a snowflake from paper, you can also create a Christmas tree from paper!

1. Fold a piece of paper in half vertically.  (You could experiment with additional vertical folds)
2. Cut a large triangle.
3. Keeping the triangle folded, cut additional triangles along each of the long sides..
4. Open the large triangle.
5. Ta-da!!
I first created paper Christmas trees to make a large felt Christmas tree.  I was going to use felt for our homemade Jesse Tree, but decided against it since it was not stable enough on its own.  However, the simple design of a paper or felt Christmas tree is very pretty, so I thought I'd show it to you!

  1. Thanks for this Annette! It's a rainy day and this will be a fun after school craft for us. I hope all is well. I still check in often, but it's so hard to comment now! I know you understand!!!

  3. What a variation on the traditional paper snowflake. I can't wait to try this one out with my kiddies.
