Favorite Five #27

Ah, the good stuff of the week!  Not only is it Friday (well, actually Thursday night as I write), but it is the weekend!  Time to count the blessings for Friday Fave Five!

1. Little Sister slept through the night!  During the spring/early summer she would surprise us and sleep through the night about once a month.  However, the last time she had done that was in early June.  Worse, she'd been waking up multiple times a night instead of just once for the past several weeks.  Let me tell you, I was thankful for that night when I could sleep!  (Though I did get up to use the bathroom, as usual.)

2. A short cold.  Hopefully I'm not speaking too quickly, but I think my cold is over...after just three days of a faucet-like nose.

3. A fixed bumper.  We were bumped a bit by another car in June.  We finally had the bumper fixed, at no cost to us.

4. Fun in the backyard.  We took out the Slip 'n' Slide for the first time.  My husband was hot...and took several trips down it.  It was fun to just watch.  Till he popped it.  It was also fun to watch Little Sister leave her baby pool to wander all over the backyard to explore the other pool and

5. Staying home.  After way too much traveling for this homebody, even if it was to visit family, it is great to say we will be home for two weekends in a row.  Other than a trip to Staples this week, we pretty much stayed put.  The children and I have no plans for the weekend.  My husband gets to golf on Saturday to help out friends who are having a fundraiser for the adoption of their baby.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone else is up to over at Living to Tell the Story.  Please join us in counting and sharing the blessings.

Glad your cold is pretty much over and your bumper got fixed.

The Slip and Slide sounds so refreshing.

I love days I don't have to go anywhere.

  6. It's always nice to have a 'stay at home' week. Yours sounds like it was a good one, especially with a good night's sleep.

  7. It's a pity that a baby hasn't a "switch off" or "silent mode" button ! lol !

  8. Slip and slides are a hoot especially when the adults start using them. The kids must have loved it. Yay for little sis sleeping through the night. Hopefully that cold is totally gone and you're back to your healthy self.
