Friends, Flowers, and Fountains

Recently my real life friend, Dorie, invited my children and me to go to a local garden with her and her four children.  We were grateful to go and enjoyed the day immensely.

We strolled the hundreds of acres pausing to admire the beauty surrounding us often.
I am not certain what this was called, but it was similar to a gazebo.
Above shows the beauty of the metal-work while looking to the sky.
The paths surrounding us were covered with blooming flowers.
Below shows a bit of the Italian fountains.
In a different area, we were able to get up close and personal with a fountain.
Throughout the day, Dorie's children demonstrated love and kindness to my own as they walked and talked with them.
When the three younger (ages 3, 5, and 5) children became tired, the three oldest children carried them on their backs while the moms enjoyed watching friendships strengthen and pushed the baby stroller.
The outdoor children's garden area, complete with another fountain, may have been two youngest boys' favorite part of the day.  Despite the cool temperatures, they rather enjoyed getting wet.
We were able to enjoy our picnic lunches just before the rain arrived.  It was a beautiful day of time together with our friends.

Dorie has her own post today about our day at the gardens.  Enjoy her thoughts and beautiful photography over at These Grace Filled Days.
