I have one, too, and things are definitely more challenging when he's away.

As for anger...read the poem on my FFF today! And I can relate about the anger! sometimes, anger, although a negative emotion (remember GOD gave us emotions) helps us to get to another root issue.....like abuse from childhood, betrayal or feelings of abandonment. It's ok to be angry if you don't sin in your anger...and getting counsel/advice from Scriptures, a mentor in your church or lay counselor...all good stuff!! embrace the time because God is probably tryingto get your attention in an area! (well, that was the case for me anyways). Have a wonderful MOTHER's DAY!! (and i loved your #2 fave...that is always a fave with me too...getting together with special friends who have children who can be friends with MY children! :)Faithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06608258814596465122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1903409844961124425.post-89706505405499558332012-05-11T16:20:43.557-04:002012-05-11T16:20:43.557-04:00I know how you feel with your husband being away! ...I know how you feel with your husband being away! Jonathan is away from home 2-3 days and nights every week. Then there's the catching up on sleep while at home. It gets hard! We very much appreciate him, though. :)

I'm glad the fire truck didn't have to come to your house! ;)

Thank you for being honest about the anger issue! I know it's something most mothers go through, but it helps me when others admit it, too. I don't feel so alone with it. I like Barbara's suggestion. I'll have to start gathering verses!Bluerosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00680170638396181756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1903409844961124425.post-14189878025605578882012-05-11T14:35:37.525-04:002012-05-11T14:35:37.525-04:00Uh oh! ...Uh oh! Glad the fire situation wasn't worse.

The garden excursion and muffins sound great.

I know what you mean about hubby being away. I could not have stood it when my firstborn was small and I never would have believed that we would be weathering so much of his travel, but God gave grace.

One thing that has helped me with anger is going through a concordance and gathering Bible verses about it (mainly from Proverbs and the epistles) and making a list of them to read from time to time. Sometimes just reading over them washes the anger away.Barbara H.http://barbarah.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1903409844961124425.post-22663490538673011072012-05-11T11:42:33.184-04:002012-05-11T11:42:33.184-04:00Those muffins do sound really delicious! Glad you had a fun time.

As for the subject of anger, I actually think you are very brave to mention it. Curious to talk with you more about this...when you have a spare minute! ;)Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08772667430500306088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1903409844961124425.post-2089195288540065172012-05-11T10:51:49.816-04:002012-05-11T10:51:49.816-04:00those muffins sound delicious! I think I will make...those muffins sound delicious! I think I will make them the next time we have Joe's boys here with us. Anger...I have raised my own 2 daughters and 3 step-children who are now between the ages of 19 and 24. It is my opinion that anyone who does not have anger issues when their children are young is full of you know what. It's normal. these years are very demanding and it seems as if no one really appreciates you and you are getting not to much in return for all your efforts. Even those who are are so happy with their family lives go through this...don't let anyone tell you different it simply isn't true. Do something for yourself. I know...you have no time and you love your family. Find the time to do something that makes you feel good about yourself...not as a mother or a wife...just for you. Trust me you will be glad you did and so will your husband and your children.aspiritofsimplicityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14870339828098281415noreply@blogger.com
