Easy Window and Mirror Cleaning

Maybe you already know this little cleaning trick, but since it's new to me, I wanted to share it with you.  I love my new squeegee.  It is extremely effective for mirror and window cleaning.
Prior to cleaning my bathroom mirrors (and bathroom) I mix some hot water and vinegar in the bathroom sink.  Prior to any other cleaning, I use my cleaning cloth to wipe down the mirror and scrub any dirty spots.  Then I use the squeegee from top to bottom of the mirror with one horizontal swipe at the bottom to catch any extra cleaning solution.

This is also the method that can be used on windows, but with a bucket instead of the sink.

I find it much easier than trying to get a streakless clean with a microfiber cloth or paper towel.

My squeegee is from IKEA, but plenty are available on Amazon if you want to look at reviews before buying.

  1. I'm not sure why I never thought to do this but great idea! It will really cut down on my paper towel use too.

    1. It really does, Nicole! I still use my cleaning cloth to wipe the squeegee, but paper towels aren't even needed!

  3. We know Window cleaning is time consuming and often difficult or dangerous to do. It typically involves climbing ladders, hanging out of windows and after many hours of work, chances are you’ll still have smears and streaks.
