Dollar School Supplies

Like most families, we have quite the list of school supplies for our daughter.  I took her two supply lists and went shopping.
First, I bought some sale items at KMart.  (I found a cute butterfly backpack there, too.  It's often hard to find age-appropriate, non-character backpacks!)  Afterwards, I went to the Dollar Tree to see if they had any items that were still on the lists.  Though not expecting much, I was quite surprised what I found.

I was able to get a clipboard, flexible binder, vinyl spiral notebooks, and cute composition books all at the Dollar Tree for her.

In addition, I was able to get sticky tabs for me!  I like to use them to mark books as I read, but they are quite pricey!  I was absolutely thrilled to find them.

With the countdown to school on, I thought I'd share this with you in case you had forgotten the Dollar Tree as a shopping option.  I pretty much refuse to buy everything at full price and I am only shopping (at the moment) for one child's school supplies!  Shopping for many children would be so costly!

This time of year is great to buy for the next school year, too!  Certain school supplies, like Ticonderoga pencils are worth buying on sale and storing for the year.  (These pencils are awesome for a standard pencil, though I prefer mechanical pencils.)  Check your school's website for the next grade's school supplies and stock up when you can pay just pennies!
