Teacher Thank You Letter {Free Printable}

Does the end of the school year sneak up on you?  It does me!  This year, I created a form letter for my son to fill out for his preschool teacher.  It may have been the day before his final day, but I'm glad we did it.

In my opinion (and I'm a former teacher, for what it's worth), writing a personal thank you note for your children's teachers is a must at the end of the year though gifts are optional.  Involving the children is beneficial, too.

Thank you.

My five year old son and I sat down and to complete this for his preschool teacher.  I wrote his answers and provided encouragement, as needed.  My first grader will complete her own letter when it's time.  I will let her fill in this form letter or allow her to write her own letter.

May I suggest that your child may have a number of teachers? We will write a thank you to note to at least one of the specials teachers in addition to the regular teachers.  With my son's preschool classroom, I wrote a note to (and made peanut butter ice cream topping) for his teacher, assistant, and preschool director.  A parent also collected money to purchase gift cards for the teacher and assistant, so that was an easy way to take part in gift giving.  (FYI, the PB sauce recipe makes three cups, which filled three 8 ounce canning jars perfectly.)
I hope you have been inspired to thank a teacher this school year.  Check out more of our free printables.  And since summer is practically here, join the summer reading challenge, too.
