Couscous Recipe

Busy evenings require quick and easy dinners in our home.  Couscous is a staple for our family, and we all enjoy it. I often choose to flavor couscous myself instead of relying upon store-bought flavoring which has unnecessary ingredients.

Though the word "instant" is not printed on the boxes of couscous I purchase, like rice, it has been prepared in advance so it is quick to prepare.  My local grocery store never has a sale on couscous, so I didn't buy it often.  However, since we began shopping at ALDI, we keep a nice stock in our pantry.

I keep my couscous recipe simple with garlic and onion powder.  You could play around with this and add Parmesan cheese, fresh garlic, onion, and other veggies.

    1. My husband was less than eager, but now takes big servings. He definitely needs it flavored.
