Baked Ravioli Recipe

When you have a day when you just don't have even twenty minutes to make dinner, try this baked ravioli recipe.  It's in the oven in less than five minutes, and ready in about an hour.  This easy pasta dish is even easier to prepare than oatmeal.  (Tell me I'm not the only one to make oatmeal for Sunday night dinners.  Remember, I prefer easy meals.)


3 Minute Baked Ravioli

Prep Time: 3 Minutes
Cook Time: 50-55 Minutes
Ingredients (4 servings)
  • 1 package frozen ravioli (cheese or meat)
  • 1 jar (or equivalent) 25 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Prepare 9x13 pan with cooking spray or oil.
Place just enough sauce in the bottom of the pan to lightly cover it, about 1/2-3/4 cup. Spread frozen ravioli in pan. Cover with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese upon serving.

Our family has enjoyed this twice now.  It's quick and easy...and the whole family enjoys it.  If a full jar of sauce is too saucy for your preference, just leave out a cup or so of the sauce.  Even if you make your own homemade spaghetti sauce, this recipe is prepared with minimal effort.

As a child, I thought ravioli only came from a can, and I was not a fan.  Baked ravioli may not be made from scratch, but it is perfect for a busy night or after a day spent outdoors working.

    1. Well, at least cereal is only on occasion for you. Once in a while the kids revolt against oatmeal...and then we have cereal on Sundays. :)

  2. This is an interesting way to make ravioli, although I admit I'd probably use a home-made spaghetti sauce because I haven't used store-bought sauces in years. I'll have to give it a try!
    One of my quick-and-easy meals is tuna-noodle casserole.
