Enjoying the Moments

I took it.  Really, I did.  I knew we would be celebrating Christmas four times with relatives we only see a few times a year.  Not only that, but we celebrated the 90th birthday of (Derek's) Grandma.

Occasionally I considered taking it out of my purse.  Yet, there it remained.  Even when my own children and husband were opening gifts at home.

No worries though.  Moments and expressions captured in time by the lens of my own eye.  (And other cameras came out at times.)

  1. Sometimes it is hard to know whether it is better to be in the moment or taking pictures to remember later but feeling you're missing being in on the action. We took a few pictures but then put the camera away and enjoyed the rest of the day. Thankfully my son did, too, so we can share each other's best ones.

Glad you had a great time!

  2. Sometimes it really is more about setting down the camera and remembering things in your minds eye, rather than with a camera. Glad you enjoyed your Christmas celebrations!
